As always I’d like to start by thanking you all for the awesome support for both the Valentines discos and the first of our non-uniform days. We hope the kids enjoyed them (the dancing at the discos would suggest they did). You have helped to raise another £317 towards the PTA funds to allow us to provide more events and treats in the months to come.
Easter Egg Competition
This was so popular and so much fun last year that we thought we’d do it again! Its £1 per entry, and any eggs should be brought into school on Monday 3rd and Tuesday 4th April. The £1 entry must come in with their Egg, which must have their name and year clearly marked on it. The entries will be judged and the winner chosen on Wednesday the 5th, and these will be announced in school assembly on Thursday 6th April, please can all eggs be left in school until this date. If the weather is good we will be displaying the entries in the yard on the 5th and if not, it’ll be in the hall.
Now: Parents; you’re not being left out, there is a separate competition for you to get stuck into with your own eggstravaganzas! Same conditions apply!
Our Nursery children will be participating in an Easter themed Treasure Hunt, it’ll be £1 to take part. I wonder what exciting treasure they’ll find??
We’ll be holding an Easter Raffle, with tickets being sold for £1 a strip from Monday 27th March until Wednesday 5th April.
Non Uniform Day– Friday 7th April
We all know how much kids love “non uniform” so the last day of term is going to be non uniform. Instead of a cash donation; we’re asking and hoping for a bottle donation! By that I mean a bottle of anything (not opened or empty ;-)) in a bottle bag. It can be Wine; beer; Sauce; Bath oil; anything!!
I know this might seem like a slightly odd request but it leads right on to the last event on our agenda for this letter:
THE SUMMER FAYRE 2017!!!!!
That’s right folks, it’s back and this year it’s going to be even bigger!!! Mark it in your diaries now: Saturday 1st July 12pm-3pm.
The bottles requested above are going towards one of the tombola stalls.
We hope that those of you who managed to get there last year will agree that it was a great event; and this year we want to build on that and hopefully have all of our school family there along with our local community. We’re aiming to make this a day to remember, so we hope you’ll all be able to join us.
We’ll be in touch on lots of occasions between now and then with more specifics but we’d be interested to hear from any parents who would like to hold a stall on the day, charged at £10 a stall, please contact us via our email address below.
