The children in Reception had a wonderful visit to the Rising Sun Country Park in North Tyneside for a “Goldilocks and the Three Bears” outdoor workshop. We started off our day by going on a treasure trail in the woods. Each group was given a map and we had to find the hidden numbers to unlock the log chest. Thankfully we didn’t lose any teachers on the way! Inside the chest were little bags of porridge. We then cooked our porridge around a campfire. Do you think we thought it was too hot, too cold or just right?

After a well earned lunch break we went on a bear hunt in the quarry. Once we found all of the bears we worked together to build them dens!
