Welcome to Our Year 2 Class
We have had a fantastic first half term settling in to our new classroom and have been working hard!
We have been reading some new stories in English – ‘Beegu’ by Alexis Deacon and ‘The Lonely Beast’ by Chris Judge. Stay posted for some examples of our brilliant work!
Our topic this term is ‘The Great Fire’ and we already know lots of facts about the Great Fire of London (1666) – just ask us! Soon we will be visiting the Discovery Museum to find out all about the Great Fire of Newcastle and Gateshead (1854).
In our new science topic ‘Growth and Survival’ we will be exploring the life cycles of different animals and learning about what humans need to stay healthy.

Here’s the Autumn 1 Newsletter – the children will be bringing a copy home on Monday! Our printers have had a technical glitch which the technicians are busy resolving.
Our karate instructor, has a few spaces available for new students wishing to start karate lessons.
As the newly appointed headteacher, I feel very excited about the possibilities for the school as we look to build on recent successes and develop and expand the opportunities for all children in our care.
