This data shows the number of children achieving a Good Level of Development (GLD) by the end of Reception in all the prime areas (Communication and Language, Personal, Social and Emotional Development and Physical Development) and Reading, Writing, Number & Shape, Space and Measures. This data was also moderated by Carr Hill Primary.

Year 1 Phonics Screening Test 2017

Number in Cohort – 22

This national test is administered in June and tests the phonics knowledge of the children – their ability to decode and read words, rather than their understanding. Children who do not reach the required standard are tested again at the end of Year 2.

In May 2016, in both KS1 and KS2, assessment changed from levels to a judgement against whether children were working at Age Related Expectations (ARE). For KS2, this included a scaled score, comparing our school with all schools nationally. A scaled score of 100 means that a child has reached ARE.
